Biography
Violist Marc Anderson is the first recipient of the Eastman School of Music's prestigious Robert L. Oppelt Award. He has performed with members of the Emerson String Quartet and is himself a member of the Verlaison String Quartet. An accomplished orchestral musician, Mr.Anderson is among the youngest members of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. He has performed with the Erie Philharmonic, the New World Symphony in Miami and at the renowned Aspen Music Festival, where he was the assistant principal violist of the Chamber Symphony. He holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, where he studied with George Taylor and John Graham. Mr. Anderson has also trained with members of the Tokyo String Quartet, Roberto Diaz and Melissa Matson, among others.
